This video is very interesting and makes a good point about the fundamental problems with evolution as applies to the creation of modern man. Evolution actually requires the subscriber to take as many leaps of faith as religion does.

One of the things I have heard more and more of over the years is people saying they are “spiritual” and “not religious”. Religion has become somewhat of a taboo word in modern western society. The word to them means rigidness, old fashioned and even worse, a cult that takes advantages of its members. And the term “organized religion” has become a dirty word.
The truth is that organized religion is perfect in the eyes of God when all participants are behaving according to the scripture. The hypocrites and evil doers that have used Christianity to harm others are the exact opposite of what the religion is about. But because evil people have claimed to be believers, it is easy for some to throw the baby out with the bathwater. John 4:24 “Do not let anyone who delights in false humility and the worship of angels disqualify you. An Amazing and Powerful Personal Experience

It was quite late at night and I was getting ready to go to bed. I had sat at the base of my bed and started to pray with intercession. I had been praying for some time and then prayed this prayer as I started to fall asleep:
“Lord, cover me with your full armor. Clothe me with the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the swiftness of your sandles, the shield of faith to deflect the fiery darts of the evil one, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is Your word. Lord also surround me with Your angels for protection and in some way, use me tonight.”

I grew up in household that didn’t speak much about God or Jesus. In fact, the only real exposure to God or Jesus was when my brothers and I would visit my Grandmother in Virginia. She would talk to us about God and Jesus and give us the occasional Christian coloring book. She was very firm in her beliefs and I believed her. But then we would hop on the Piedmont airliner and head home and get back into our regular non-Christian lives. I would continue to say my prayers once in awhile. And when I asked my parents “why don’t we go to church?” or say “we should go to church.” they would always reply “sure, we will go.” But that never happened. The Beginning of my New Life in Christ, Part 2

This journey took place in 1977 at Great Lakes Naval Training Center, 1978 on board the USS LaSalle and 1979 on board the USS Brooke.
In 1976 and 1977 I was stationed at Great Lakes Naval Training Center outside of Chicago, Illinois.
I was stationed at the Boot Camp Dining Facility. One year as the Night Baker and one year as a General Cook and breakfast cook for the officers. My nicknames were “The Killer Cook and Jesus number 2”..kind of a study in contrast. On the one hand I had to keep order of the recruits that were assigned to me and on the other hand a witness to recruits and the others I worked with. 13,000 recruits made their way to the mess decks three meals a day. When I would see recruits having a hard time, I would pull them aside and encourage them and give a short witness. I always had my Christian music playing and they were a captive audience. The Beginning of my New Life in Christ, Part 1

I entered the United States Navy in June of 1975. In July of 1975 I gave my life to Christ.
I was stationed at the Boot Camp in San Diego, California. My sister had sent me a bible and I didn’t think anything of it. I didn’t know that she had become a Christian a year earlier. Her and her friends had been praying for me during that time and while I was in boot camp.
As you can imagine, bootcamp can be quite a trying time for most all recruits. It doesn’t just take a physical toll on you, but a mental one too. Whether you see God or Jesus in your dream, in your day dreams or actually in person, these are all considered experiences and that is how God communicates with us.

Welcome to my Christian Experiences Blog
I felt compelled to create this blog to document my own journey of life in regards to my experiences of God and Jesus Christ. Perhaps others seeking testimony about God and Christ may find it useful.
I was not brought up in church. In fact, as far as I know, my parents were athiest or agnostic. My grandmother took my brothers and I to church several times as kids but we were busy goofing around and never paid much attention.
But, I have always felt the presence of God. I’ve known he was there from my earliest memories. I even remember writing him letters and stashing them behind my dresser as a little kid, maybe 7 years old, hoping he would read them.
